Friday, June 27th: Mustang Conference Tournament Championship
Channahon Family Dentistry 18,
Troutman Excavating 8
The 2008 Channahon-Minooka Mustang Championship game got off to a fast start with Troutman scoring 3 runs in the top half of the first inning. Dentistry responded by scoring 8 runs in their half of the first. Both teams provided timely hitting and applied pressure every inning with Dentistry breaking loose again in the bottom of the 5th inning by scoring 6 runs to end a well played game. At the plate Dentistry registered 15 hits. Leading the way, Ryan Johnson 3-3 (2 singles, double, 2RBIs); Jackson Shepherd 3-4 (3 singles; 3RBIs); Steve Andreano 2-3 (triple, single); Nico White 1-2 (2R HR; 2RBIs); Derek Malone, Jake Bugajski, Jack Jessen, Jake Lewis, Jake Vickery and Nick Koff added clutch hits to drive in runs. On the mound for Dentistry, Derek Malone (3IP); and Nico White (1IP) and Jackson Shepherd (1IP) held Troutman scoreless to close out the game. For Troutman Excavating, Danny Devine led the way going 2-3 (triple, single, 2RBIs); Larry Roberts (single) and Tony Allen (double) had run-producing hits. Bryce Dixon and Spencer McCabe added hits. On the mound for Troutman Excavating was Bryce Dixon, Matt Spalding, Danny Devine and Tony Allen. Congratulations to both teams players and coaches!

Friday, June 27th: Mustang Conference Tournament Consolation Game

Pizza-4-U earned 3rd Place in the Channahon-Minooka Mustang Tournament. In a hard fought game, Jonny Butler led the offense with 2 home runs in his 1st 2 at bats. Zach Akers, Joe Butler, John Wheaton, and Carter Dillon also contributed with key base hits. Pitching the victory was Zach Akers, Jonny Butler, and Joe Butler. Integrity Restoration kept the pressure on with ten hits in the game. Nick Stallion, Patrick Rumsey, and Matt Brozovich all had 2 hits, while Tyler Fitzgerald, Ethan Milles, Matt Classen and AJ Capecci also added hits. Congratulations to both teams on a great season!

Thursday, June 26th: Mustang Conference Tournament Semi-Finals

Integrity Restoration 7
Hard fought game by both teams. Timely hitting and good defense were the keys for Dentistry as they advanced to the Channahon-Minooka Mustang Playoff Final. At the plate, Jackson Shepherd went 2-2 (2 singles; 3RBIs; 3Rs); Derek Malone 2-3 (2 singles; RBI; 2Rs); Jack Jessen 2-3 (2 singles; RBI; Run scored); Nico White 1-2 (single; 2RBIs); Steve Andreano 1-3 (single; 2RBIs); Jake Lewis 1-2 (single; RBI); Nick Koff 1-2 (single; RBI). Ryan Johnson, Zack Kijowski and Tyler Richart walked twice and scored 2 runs each. On the mound for Dentistry was Jackson Shepherd (2IP); Nico White (2IP). For Integrity Restoration, Patrick Rumsey 1-2 (single; RBI); Matt Brozovich 1-2 (single; RBI), Sam Siesser 1-1 (single; 2RBIs); and Ethan Millis added a nice single to center. On the mound for Integrity was Nick Stallion, Sam Siesser, Danny Beaudin and Tyler Fitzgerald.

Troutman Excavating 6, Pizza-4-U 5
The #4 seed Troutman Excavating advances to the Channahon/Minooka Mustang Championship Game with their win over previously unbeaten #1 seed Pizza-4-U team. Troutman Excavating fell behind 4-0 in the first inning because of some good hitting by Jonny Butler (triple) Zach Akers (Double), Joe Butler (Double) and Nate Vaught(Double). Troutman score 2 in the second to cut the score in half. The third inning was scoreless and the fourth inning Troutman put up 2 more runs with hits by Matt Spalding (Double), Danny Devine (Double), Larry Roberts, and Tony Allen (Double). In the bottom of the fourth Pizza-4-U added another run with hits by John Wheaton (Double) and Nate Vaught to make the score 5-4 Pizza-4-U. In the fifth Troutman was able to score one run to tie the game 5-5 with a hit by Alex Roop and held Pizza-4-U scoreless. In the sixth inning Zach Troutman led off with a walk, stole second and scored the winning run on a throwing error by Pizza-4-U. In the bottom half of the sixth inning Troutman's Larry Roberts was able to strike out the tough hitters at the top of Pizza-4-U's order to end the game. Winning pitchers for Troutman were Danny Devine (2IP, 4-R,5-H,2-K,1-BB), Matt Spalding (1IP,0-R,1-H,0-K,0-BB), and Larry Roberts (3IP,1-R,2-H,9-K,2-BB). Pitchers for Pizza-4-U Zach Akers, Brandon Brodzinski,Jonny Butler and Joe Butler.

Tuesday, June 24th: Mustang Conference Tournament Play-offs
Integrity Restoration 7,
Mickey D's 5
Integrity Restoration progressed to the semi-finals in a close game that featured great defensive plays by both teams and went right down to the wire. The difference was an Integrity Restoration pitching effort that held Mickey Ds to only 4 hits. Integrity hitters were Nick Stallion (double, 1 RBI), Kyle Kobe, with a huge single that produced 2 key RBIs, Patrick Rumsey (1 RBI), Dan Beaudin (1 RBI), Jake Streao (1 RBI) and Tyler Fitzgerald. Hitters for Mickey Ds were Dylan Pickett, with a beautiful HR over the center field fence, John McAsey (2-for-3) and Colin Cimaroli (1-for-1). Integrity Restoration pitchers were Nick Stallion (2 IP, 4 SO) who struck out the side in the second inning, Sam Siesser, Dan Beaudin, and Tyler Fitzgerald (2 IP, 4 Ks, 1 H). Pitchers for Mickey Ds were John Carnagio, Jon McAsey and Dylan Pickett.

Channahon Family Dentistry 14, Firepaintings 3
This was a close game thru 3 innings, well played game by both teams as Dentistry advanced to the semi-finals. For Dentistry, at the plate Jackson Shepherd went 3-3 (single, triple, game ending grand-slam; 5RBIs); Jake Bugajski 1-2 (single, 2RBIs); Ryan Johnson, Nico White, Steve Andreano had run producing hits. Nick Koff and Tyler Richart added key hits and key walks to start huge 4th and 5th inning run scoring outbursts. Dentistry pitchers allowed 5 hits and 3 runs. On the mound was Jackson Shepherd (2IP; 4Ks; 2BB); Nico White (2IP; 2Ks) and Derek Malone (1IP; 3Ks). For Firepaintings, Eddie Sandal and Carson Oughton doubled to drive-in runs. Andrew Zurawski, Michael Klover and Cody Figura added hits. Pitching for Firepaintings was Eddie Sandal (2IP; 5Ks); Zach Figura; Andrew Zurawski; and Peter Klepec.

Monday, June 23rd: Mustang Conference Tournament Play-offs

Sports Huddle 1
In a well pitched and well played game, Pizza-4-U advanced to the semi-finals in the Channahon/Minooka Mustang Tournament. Sports Huddle pitchers, Brent Beckwith, Alec Turner, and Jeremy Kenyon held Pizza-4-U to its lowest run production all year and only 4 hits. Joe Butler (double), John Wheaton, Jay Lamas and Austin Alonzo had the hits for Pizza-4-U. Meanwhile Pizza-4-U pitchers, Zach Akers (2k's), Jonny Butler (4k's) and Joe Butler (6k's) held Sports Huddle's batters to 3 hits. Alec Turner was 2-2 and Jeremy Kenyon 1-1. Both teams made numberous defensive players, with neither team committing an error.

Troutman Excavating 8, Greenscape Services 3
Toutman Excavating advanced to the Semi-final game with an 8-3 win over a good Greenscape Services team. In this game there were double plays, runners thrown out at home and great defensive plays by both teams. Troutman Excavating offense scored 5 runs in the first and never looked back, Tony Allen led the way with a Grand Slam Home Run to left field and went 2-2 for the day. Zach Troutman (2-2), Larry Roberts (1-1) and Bryce Dixon (2-2) also added hits. Greenscape Services hitters were Blake Parzych and David Scott. On the mound for Troutman were Matt Spalding, Danny Devine and Larry Roberts (they allowed 3 runs on 2 hits and walked 3). Greenscape pitchers were David Scott, Blake Parzych, Drew Jordan and Cody Jerzyk.

Saturday, June 21st: Mustang Conference Tournament Play-offs
Integrity Restoration 11,
All-Star Shoes 6
Integrity Restoration started the playoff march by combining for 13 hits to beat a feisty All Star Shoes team. Three hitters for Integrity Restoration went 3-for-4, Tyler Fitzgerald (triple), Patrick Rumsey (triple, double) and Nick Stallion (3 doubles) were key to the Integrity scoring. Other hitters for Integrity were Dan Beaudin (1-for-2), Ethan Milles (1-for-3) and Jake Strezo (1-for-1). Tim Wazilewski added a big rally starting hit late in the game. Hitters for All Star Shoes were Garrett Harper, Jacob Close and Mike Conway. Integrity Restoration pitchers held All Star Shoes to three hits and were led by Nick Stallion (3 IP, 5 Ks), Dan Beaudin, and Tyler Fitzgerald (2 IP, 4 Ks, 0 hits). Pitchers for All Star Shoes were Grant Olsen, Garrett Harper and Alex Moretti.

Greenscape Services 13, Baar Home Medical 8
This was the second meeting between the two teams with Greenscape coming out on top. Pitching was the key to the game for Greenscape, with Dave Scott leading the way, going 3 innings and striking out 6. Drew Jordan and Jeremy Messer combined for the 9-years olds and Cody Jerzyk pitched the last 2 innings striking out 4. For Greenscape, power was the theme with Anthony Mare hitting a 3-run homer and going 3-3 for the day and Jake Garcia also driving in 3 with a monstrous homer to straight away center. Josh Garcia and Cody Jerzyk went 3-3, Drew Jordan 2-3, and Blake Parzych, Zach Pershey added hits. Baar Home Medical s offense was led by Luke Brozovich going 3-3 with a 2-run homer and 2 singles. Marco and Martin went 2-3 and Fick and Scheidt also had singles. Piching performances were from Marco, Clark, and Doster.

Firepaintings 14, Pullara Construction 7
After 3 innings of play, Pullara took a 5-1 lead behind some great defensive plays,good pitching(R. DiBiase, 2IP, 1K, 1 run)and key hits by DiBiase 2-3, O. Mutto (2-3, 3R), D. Martin (2-3, double,1RBI,1R), and T. Turnell (1-2,2RBI's,1R). But Firepaintings erupted for 13 runs in the last 3 innings led by a towering fence clearing 3 run HR by Eddie Sandal(2-2,2R,3RBI's,2W). Also contributing to the 10 hit attack were Jeremy Ertl(2-3,1R,1RBI), Zack Figura (1-4,1R,2RBI's), Michael Klover(single), Brandon Baranski(1-2,1R,1RBI), Cody Figura (1-3,1R,1RBI), Aaron Grey(1-3,1R), and Nick Dileto (1-3,2R,1RBI). Also, Trevor Kautz with 2 key runs scored. Pitching the victory were Sandal(6K's), Zack Figura(3K's), and Andrew Zurawski(2IP,3K's,0 Runs).

Troutman Excavating 9, Emplyee Benefits 1
The key to this victory was pitching and defense for Troutman Excavating. Troutman Pitchers (Matt Spalding, Tony Allen, Larry Roberts) only allowed 2 hits (Stang, Barasiak)and struck out 12 and their defence had six put outs. Troutman hitters were led by Larry Roberts (Double, Triple), Danny Devine (Triple), Alex Roop (Double), Tony Allen (Double), Matt Spalding and Vince Bazzarone. Pitchers for Employee benefits were VanAsdlen, Stang and Barasiak.

Mickey D's 12, Car Car Collision 5
Mickey D's was led by Jeff Kikolis with 3 hits and Brett Williams with 2 hits. On the mound for Mickey D's was Dylan Pickett, Jon McAsey and Johnny Carnagio. Car Car Collision was led by Jonahan Studer with a big hit and run scored. On the mound wasBrad daniel, Danny Walker, Nate Vicini and Gavin Pfieffer.

Sports Huddle 11, McDonald's of Minooka 6
For Sports Huddle, Alec Turner and Jeremy Kenyon led the way with 2 hits each, scoring 2 runs each as well. Other contributors were Nick Airola (1 hit, 2 runs) David Chitkowski (1 run) Dan Burdick (1 hit) Hunter Nelson (1 hit) Jacob Callaghan (1 hit, 1 run) Nick VanMeter (1 hit, 2 runs) and Josh Gronlund (1 run). For McDonald's of Minooka, Justin Wolz led the way with a lead off home run (2 hits, 2 runs). Other contributors were Christian Vitale (1 hit, 1 run) Steve Schimanski (1 hit, 1 run) John Hennessey (1 run) Jacob Mason (1 hit) and Riley VanDerKarr (1 hit, 1 run). Airola, Chitkowski, Turner and Kenyon pitched well for Sports Huddle.
