Led by solid pitching, the Channahon 8 year olds simply wanted this game more than the other team. After pitching out of bases loaded situations in the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th innings without a run scored, Channahon took this game in the bottom of the 7th. Zach Hise scored Collin Shields from second with a line drive double up the middle to win the game. Also hitting for Channahon were Mack Tyrell, Shields (2-3), Tim Barys, Michael Susnar, and Jared Butts. Pitching for Channahon were Tyrell (3K), Tyler Peterson (1K), Barys (2K), Brandon Keyster (5K), Hise (3K), and Jared Bisbee (2K). Great game!

Another exciting game against a good Plainfield team….Channahon led most of this game, taking a 5-3 lead into the bottom of the 6th. With the last at bat, Plainfield battled back, putting 3 runs on to take the win. Hitting for Channahon were Mack Tyrell, Tim Barys, Michael Susnar (2-2, 3B), Matt Sitar, Zach Hise (3-3), and Blake Beckwith. Pitching a solid game for Channahon were Hise (6K) and Brandon Keyster (2K).

Channahon struggled on defense and couldn’t get the bats going against a tough Troy team. Blake Beckwith had the lone hit for Channahon, with a double in the 5th. Pitching for Channahon were Mack Tyrell (1K), Jared Bisbee (4K), and Michael Susnar (2K).

Channahon brought the lumber again, logging 18 hits in 5 innings. After a few throwing errors gave up 4 runs in the 1st, solid pitching and defensive plays kept Minooka bats down. Jared Bisbee finished the defensive effort with two over the shoulder snags for outs in the last inning. Hitting for Channahon were Mack Tyrell (2-3), Michael Susnar (2-2, 3B), Jared Butts (2-3, 2B), Mysliwiec (2-3), Hise (3-3, 2B), Tyler Peterson (2-3, 2B), Collin Shields, Matt Sitar, and Tim Barys. Brandon Keyster (2-2) crushed a double off the center field fence. Pitching for Channahon were Tyrell, Bisbee (6K), and Barys (3K).

With game totals of 36 strikeouts, 13 walks, and 6 hits this was a well pitched game by both teams. Solid defense and great pitching kept this game scoreless through nearly 8 innings. The first and only run came in the bottom of the 8th when Plainfield hit a short fly to right field with a runner in scoring position. Pitching for Channahon were Tim Barys (5K), Zach Hise (9K), and Brandon Keyster (5K). Mack Tyrell had Channahon’s only hit. Great game pitchers!
