This years seven year old All Stars played in the Troy 7U tournament and the Whiteford 7U tournament. We started out the All Star season a little slowly at Troy due to lack of time together. The weather was a major contributor, allowing us only a few practices. We were however, able to recover nicely at the Whiteford Tournament. We won our first game on Thursday by ten-run rule 15-5 against Whiteford. We lost game 2 on Saturday to a very talented Plainfield team by ten run rule 10-0. We recovered nicely later that day to ten run Minooka 12-2 allowing us to advance to the championship game on Sunday. This time against Plainfield we gave them all they could handle. Great pitching by Hunter Ryan, Dalton Pickett, Aiden Goggins and Alex Zawecki kept Plainfield's mighty bats under control. We also hit the ball pretty well with Ben Joder hitting anything in sight, capped off by a Carter Appleton two-run homer. Unfortunately, we fell a tad short. After leading 3-2 and then trailing 5-3 we managed to load the bases in the 6th but could only get one run across. This team really started to gel in this tournament, We can't wait till next year. Awesome job boys, you should be very proud. I know that the coaching staff is. Have a great summer. A special thanks goes out to all our parents and fans. Thanks for your support.
