Channahon opened Zone play by pounding out 15 hits. Drew Stover and Ayhan Ozgen had 3 hits each. Nick Vertin, Josh Mitchell and Corbett Oughton had 2 hits each. Max Turek had a double. Brandon Crow and Ozgen pitched the win. Channahon resumes play @ Noon on Thursday against LaFayette, Ind. and Friday @ 2:30 against Davenport East Iowa.
Sunday, July 20th: 13-year-old Pony Region Championship Game @ Oak Park River Forest.
Channahon 5, Ottawa 4
Channahon opened the scoring in the bottom of second by scoring 2 runs on Danny Norton's double down the left field line. After Ottawa cut the lead to 2-1 in the top of the third, Channahon responded in their half of the third when Drew Stover had an RBI triple to the right field wall scoring Josh Mitchell and then Max Turek drove in Stover with a single to right making it 4-1. Ottawa battled back with a run in the fourth and 2 runs in the sixth to tie the at 4. Then in the bottom of the seventh Channahon's Mitch McCoy led off with single to center field, Nick Vertin followed with a bunt single, then Mitchell added a single to center to load the bases, that brought Josh Jimenez to the plate who drove the ball over the right fielder's head for the game winning hit. Stover and Jimenez pitched the win. Channahon advances to the ZONE which will be held in Bradley.
Friday, July 18th: 13-year-old Pony Region @ Oak Park River Forest
Channahon 3, Ottawa 2
For Channahon, Josh Mitchell went 3 for 3. Josh Jimenez doubled. Drew Stover, Brandon Crow and Kevin Ruettiger aslo added hits. Jimenez had 11 strike out complete game for the win. Channahon advances to the Championship game @ OPRF.
Thursday, July 17th: 13-year-old Pony Region @ Oak Park River Forest
Channahon 5, McClain Sting of Bloomington 1
For Channahon, Josh Jimenez had 2 hits including a Home Run. Brandon Crow had 2 hits including a double. Josh Mitchell and Max Turek also doubled.
Crow and Jimenez pitched the win. Channahon resumes play Friday (7/18) @ 5:30 in OPRF against Ottawa.
Sunday, July 13th: Pony Section Championship @ Kankakee
Channahon 6, Evergreen Park 0
For Channahon, Drew Stover had 2 hits and Josh Jimenez doubled.
Jimenez struck out 13 batters for the complete game win. Channahon advances to the Oak Park River Forest Region when they continue play @ 5:45 on Thursday.

For Channahon, Nick Vertin and Chase Hermann had 2 hits each. Josh Jimenez doubled. Drew Stover and Josh Jimenez pitched the win.

For Channahon, Nick Vertin had 4 hits. Josh Jimenez, Chase Hermann, Brandon Crow, Ayhan Ozgen, and Mitch McCoy had 2 hits each. Jimenez, Ozgen and Crow pitched thew win. Channahon resumes play @ 8:00 Friday night @ Kankakee.
