Friday, August 8th: Mustang World Series @ Irving, Texas: Game #3
Channahon 17, Irving, Texas 0
Channahon pounded out 18 hits in four innings and had every one of their batters reach base at least once during those four innings. Channahon s pitchers Joe Butler and Jeremy Kenyon pitched a no hitter allowing only 3 walks while striking out 2 in the win. Eddie Sandal led the way with a 4-4 4 RBI day, with Joe Butler 3-4 w/double, Blake Parzych 2-4 w/homerun, Ryan Johnson 2-2 w/double and Larry Roberts 2-3. Also adding hits for Channahon were Zach Akers, Jeremy Kenyon, Patrick Rumsey, Nico White and Jon McAsey. Pitching for Texas were Cruise, Lyons, Villa, Ross and Luna.

Channahon ended their pool play 1-2 with only 9 runs against while scoring 21 runs good for 3rd in their bracket to Tamaimi, Florida and Tijuana, Mexico. Channahon ended up second out of eight teams in least runs allowed by a team with 9 to William S. Hart Santa Clarita, California (8), and tied in fourth with runs scored by a team with 21.

Tamaimi, Florida beat William S. Hart Santa Clarita 5-0 in the Championship game.

Thursday, August 7th: Mustang World Series @ Irving, Texas: Game #2

Channahon 0
Tijuana Mexico coming off a big 4 inning 16-0 win in their first game had its hands full with a feisty Channahon Team. This game turned out to be the game of the tournament in the orange bracket with both teams coming out with superb pitching efforts. Joe Butler and Larry Roberts came up with the games of their careers; they allowed 1 run on Mexico s 5 hits, struck out 6 and walked no batters in the loss. Mexico s pitcher of Bravo allowed 0 runs on 5 hits struck out 8 and walked none in the win. The only run that scored in this game was a controversial call on a balk called on Channahon s bench for giving signals to the pitcher. Leading the hitters for Channahon were Zach Akers 2-3, Eddie Sandal, Jon McAsey and Ryan Johnson. This was a great effort by all players on both teams, on both sides of the ball to make this a memorable game for a long time to come.

Wednesday, August 6th: Mustang World Series @ Irving, Texas: Game #1

Channahon started the World Series with a loss to a good Miami Team that scored 3 runs in the first inning and never looked back. Miami held Channahon batters to just 7 hits in the game, leading the way was Danny Devine 2-2 with a walk and an RBI, Eddie Sandal, Blake Parzych, Patrick Rumsey (1 RBI s), Larry Roberts (2 RBI) and Tyler Fitzgerald also added hits. Channahon Pitchers of Joe Butler and Larry Roberts gave up 8 runs on 10 hits walked 3 and struck- out 5 in the loss.

Saturday, August 2nd: Mustang 10 U Zone Tournament Championship @ St. Joe's Park in Joliet, IL
Channahon 8, St. Joe's 5
What a game! Both teams came in as the number one seeds from their respected divisions with a trip to the Mustang World Series in Irving, Texas at stake. Channahon won the toss and chose home team. Joe Butler was the starting pitcher for Channahon and hit the first batter Seneker and then Earl and Dow had two key hits to score Seneker for their 1st run. Blaise Papp was the starter for St. Joe's in the bottom of the first, Channahon's Zach Akers opened the game with a double and scored on a Jeremy Kenyon single to centerfield (1-1 after one). In the second St. Joe's scored 1 run on a leadoff walk to Papp and a Sacrifice ground out by Keigher. Channahon answered with a 4 run inning of their own, Parzych, Devine, Rumsey, Fitzgerald and Butler all had hits in the second (5-2 Channahon after 2). In the third St. Joe's scored 2 more runs with hits by Smith, Ragusa, Dow and Papp. Bottom of the third St. Joe's pitcher Shane Chetney sat Channahon down in order to make it a 5-4 thru 3 innings in favor of Channahon. In the fourth St. Joe's again put up a run to tie the game 5-5 with hits by Keigher and Smith. In the bottom half Channahon again was shut down by Chetney allowing two hits by Roberts and Akers and no runs to score(5-5 tie thru 4). In the fifth Joe Butler shut St. Joe's batters down in order for the first time in the game and then Channahon broke the game open when they scored 3 runs off St. Joe pitcher Cade Earl. Sandal led off with a double, a Kenyon walk, double by Parzych, fielders choice RBI by Devine, 2 run double by Rumsey scored the runs to put Channahon ahead going into the sixth. Channahon's pitcher Joe Butler took over from there and shut St. Joe's down in four batters for the WIN!

Channahon 10U All Stars advance to the MUSTANG WORLD SERIES in Irving Texas for the first time in their 50 year history!

Channahon will play Wednesday vs. South Zone, Thursday vs. Mexico, and Friday vs. Irving, Texas.

Saturday, August 2nd: Mustang 10 U Zone Tournament Semi-Final Game@ St. Joe's Park in Joliet, IL

Oak Park 10
Channahon 10U advances to the Mustang Zone Championship game for the first time in their 50 year history with a 15-10 win over a very good Oak Park Team. Channahon scored 4 runs in the top half of the 1st inning and never looked back. Every Channahon starter had at least one hit in the game, Eddie Sandal 3-3, Jeremy Kenyon 3-4 and Patrick Rumsey 2-2 led the way with Zach Akers, Joe Butler, Blake Parzych, Danny Devine, Nico White, Larry Roberts and Tyler Fitzgerald also notched hits in the win. Larry Roberts (1 1/3) and Jeremy Kenyon(4 2/3) pitched the win giving up 10 runs on 7 hits, with 2 strike outs and 5 walks. Oak Park pitched Ballard, Vachon, Daun and Hennings in the loss. Channahon's win puts them in the Championship game agianst St. Joe's for a trip to the Mustang World Series in Irving, Texas.

Friday, August 1st: Mustang Zone Tournament @ St. Joe's Park in Joliet, IL
Lafayette, Indiana 7,
Channahon 5
Channahon took one on the chin with a 7-5 loss to Lafayette, Indiana. Channahon was leading thru 4 innings 5-3 when Lafayette scored four unanswered runs in the bottom of the fifth to win the game. Channahon had 12 hits but could only put 5 runs on the board due to some untimely hitting and base running errors. Joe Butler, Eddie Sandal, Jeremy Kenyon, Danny Devine and Larry Roberts had multi-hit games with Blake Parzych and Jon McAsey also adding one hit each. Pitching in the loss were Joe Butler and Larry Roberts, they gave up 7 runs on 8 hits, struck out 2 and walked 5. Bordenet and Rodgers pitched the win for Lafayette.

Channahon ends the pool play with a 2-1 record and advances to the Semi- Final Game as the #1 seed out of the Red Division due to three way tie breaker by allowing the least amount of runs in their division. Channahon will play Oak Park the #2 seed from the Blue Division on Saturday at Noon.

Thursday, July 31st: Mustang 10 U Zone Tournament @ St. Joe's Park in Joliet, IL

Mount Vernon 2
Channahon won it's second of three games in the Joliet North Zone Mustang Tournament with a 4-2 decision over Mount Vernon, Illinois. Channahon had 11 hits and batted .423 for the game. Leading the attack were Danny Devine (2-2 w/walk), Tyler Fitzgerald (2-2 with the game winning RBI) and Jeremy Kenyon (2-3 w/homerun). Zach Akers, Joe Butler, Eddie Sandal, Blake Parzych and Larry Roberts also added hits in the game. Mount Vernon hitters were Storment, Campbell, Carello and Morgan. The winning pitchers of Joe Butler (3) and Larry Roberts (3) allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, they struckout 7 while walking 4 in the win. Pitchers for Mount Vernon were Millwood (5) and Storment (1). Their next game will be Friday 12:00 against LaFayette, Indiana.

Wednesday, July 30th: Mustang 10 U Zone Tournament @ St. Joe's Park in Joliet, IL

Cresthill 9 (7 innings)
Channahon squeaked out a win in the seventh against a determined Cresthill team that never gave up. Channahon led 8-1 going into the bottom of the fifth inning when Cresthill was able to put up 8 runs of their own to take a 9-8 lead. In the sixth Channahon was able to push a run across the plate to tie the game 9-9 and then held Cresthill who had 2 runners in scoring position with no outs to send the game into extra innings. In the top half of the seventh, Cresthill was able to get two quick outs when Channahon was able to string two key hits (Fitzgerald, Akers) back to back and score a run to take a 10-9 lead. In the bottom half of the seventh, Cresthill had bases loaded with two outs when Channahon had a past ball and the Cresthill runner tried to score but was tagged out in a run down between home and third to end the game. Channahon was led by Zach Akers (3-3, double, 2 RBI's), Blake Parzych (3-4, 1 RBI), Danny Devine (2-3, Homerun, 3 RBI's) and Tyler Fitzgerald (2-3). Joe Butler (Homerun, 3 RBI's), Eddie Sandal, Jeremy Kenyon and Patrick Rumsey also added hits. Hitters for Cresthill were Nick Vella (2), Kody Block, Brody Chmielewski, Robbie Carter and Grant Conklin. Pitching in the win for Channahon were Joe Butler (3), Larry Roberts (2) and Jeremy Kenyon (3)- they allowed 9 runs on 6 hits, struckout 9 and walked 9. Pitchers for Cresthill were Matt Taller (3) and Nolan Edwards (4) - they allowed 10 runs on 14 hits, struckout 2 and walked just 4.

Sunday, July 27th: Mustang 10U Region Tournament Championship Game @ Oak Park

Channahon won the Oak Park Region and advances to the St. Joe Zone Tournament with a four inning 13-3 decision over host team Oak Park. Channahon was led by Joe Butler, Jeremy Kenyon, Blake Parzych, Danny Devine and Larry Roberts which all had multi-hits with Eddie Sandal and Tyler Fitzgerald adding one hit each. Joe Butler was on the mound for Channahon and pitched a four inning complete game allowing 3 runs on 4 hits, striking out 6 while walking 4 Oak Park batters. Hitters for Oak Park were Gonzales and Ballard while Hennings, Christy and Daun pitched for the host team.

Saturday, July 26th: Mustang 10U Region Tournament @ Oak Park

Channahon 10 year old All Stars won it's semi-final game in the Oak Park Region in convincing fashion 21-5 in four innings. Channahon hitters had 21 hits and batted over .724 for the game. Eddie Sandal 4-4, Blake Parzych 3-3, Danny Devine 3-3, Patrick Rumsey 2-2, Tyler Fitzgerald 2-2 and Jon McAsey 1-1 all had a perfect day at the plate with Joe Butler, Jeremy kenyon and Zach Akers also added hits. Winning pitchers for Channahon were Larry Roberts (3) and Joe Butler (1) they combined for a 6 hitter allowing 5 runs on 6 hits, struck out 3 and walked just 1 batter for the win. Hitters for Oak Park were Sullivan, Hennings, Ballard, Poell and Gaines. Ballard, Sullivan and Vachon were on the mound for Oak Park.

Thursday, July 24th: Mustang 10U Region Tournament @ Oak Park

Channahon won it's first round game in the Oak Park Region with a 11-4 decision. Channahon batters pounded out 13 hits and had a team average of .464 for the game. Leading the way was Joe Butler 4-4 (double, Homerun), Blake Parzych 3-4, Patrick Rumsey 2-3 (double) with Zach Akers, Eddie Sandal, Danny Devine and Larry Roberts also added hits. Hitters for Cresthill were Taller, Edwards, Chmielewski, Vella, Sheppard and Male. Channahon pitchers of Larry Roberts and Joe Butler held Cresthill to 4 runs on 6 hits, struckout 6 and walked just 3 in the win. Pitching for Cresthill were Taller, lesure, Edwards and Giamdrone.

Monday, July 21st: Mustang 10U Section Tournament @ Bolingbrook

Whiteford 6
This was the game that would decide it all, the winner would be Section 1 Champion and move on to Regional Tournament at Oak Park. Channahon was able to jump out to a 4-0 lead in the first and never looked back and completed the win with a decisive 13-6 decision over an excellent Whiteford team. Joe Butler was the winning pitcher pitching 6 innings, facing 31 batters, allowing 6 runs on 6 hits while striking out 11 and walking just 4 batters for the complete game win. Channahon hitters racked up 19 hits and batted .594 against a Whiteford pitching staff that had Channahon's number in earlier games. Hitters were Blake Parzych 4-4 (2 doubles), Joe Butler 3-4 (homerun, triple), Eddie Sandal 3-4 (double), Jeremy Kenyon, Larry Roberts and Patrick Rumsey had two hits each, Zach Akers and Danny Devine also added hits. Whiteford's pitchers were Purcell, Pirc and Solebo. Burnetta led the hitters for Whiteford with a towering grand slam to right center field and went 2-3, McGaffic, Tesch and Saddler also added hits.

Sunday, July 20th: Mustang 10U Section Tournament @ Bolingbrook
Whiteford 11,
Channahon 10
Another great game between two good teams that never gave up. Whiteford jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first a led the game until the sixth inning when Channahon took the lead. Whiteford was able to score in the bottom of the sixth to win 11-10 and force a one game playoff for the Pony Mustang 10U Section Championship. Hitters for Channahon were Joe Butler 2-3, Patrick Rumsey 2-2, Zach Akers 2-3 with Eddie Sandal, Jeremy Kenyon, Blake Parzych and Ryan Johnson with one hit each. Roberts, Butler and Kenyon pitched for Channahon (11 runs on 12 hits, 4 strike-outs and 7 walks). Pitchers for Whiteford were Purcell, Tesch and Marconi.

Friday, July 18th: Mustang 10U Section Tournament @ Bolingbrook

Whiteford 4 (in 7 innings)
What a game! Both teams gave it all with Channahon able to push the winning run across home plate in the top of the 7th and then were able to shut Whiteford's batters down in the bottom half for the win. The winning pitchers for Channahon were Larry Roberts(3) and Joe Butler(4), they held Whiteford to 4 runs on 5 hits, walked 2 and struck out 10 in the win. Pitchers for Whiteford were Purcell(3), Marconi(3) and Solebo(1) they allowed 5 runs on 9 hits, walked 1 and struck out 2. Joe Butler (double), Eddie Sandal and Jeremy Kenyon all had 2 hits for Channahon with Tyler Fitzgerald, Blake Parzych and Larry Roberts also adding hits. Hitters for Whiteford were Tesch(double)2-3, Pirc, Purcell and Brechtel.

Wednesday, July 16th: Mustang 10U Section Tournament @ Bolingbrook

Channahon jumped out to a 8 run lead in the first and never looked back in their four inning 16-3 decision. Channahon's offense had 19 hits and was led by Larry Roberts, Danny Devine (2 doubles), Eddie Sandal (double) and Tyler Fitzgerald who all had three hits each. Joe Butler added the power with 2 towering HOME RUNS to left field and had 4 RBI's on the day. Zach Akers (2-3), Blake Parzych(2-2) and Jeremy Kenyon (1-4) also had hits in the win. The pitchers for Channahon were Jeremy Kenyon and Zach Akers, they gave up 3 runs on 6 hits, struck out 1 and had no walks in the win. Pitchers for Plainfield were Janer and Olsen. Plainfield hitters were Olsen, Vanek, Gabel, Rosanova, Kuehn and Reitz.

Monday, July 14th: Oak Forest "Battle of the Burbs" 10U Championship Game:
Westside Warriors 8,
Channahon 6
Westside was able to score 4 runs on 4 hits, combined with Channahon's 2 fielding errors, in the first to take the lead and never to give it up. Winning pitchers for Westside were Roberts, Hanik and Robbles. Channahon scored 6 runs on 9 hits, Danny Devine and Ed Sandal led the way for Channahon with 2 hits and 2 RBI's each. Jon McAsey, Joe Butler, Blake Parzych, Zach Akers and Tyler Fitzgerald also added hits. Pitchers for Channahon were Larry Roberts, Joe Butler and Jeremy Kenyon. Channahon gave up 8 runs on 8 hits, struck out 6 and walked 6 batters in the loss.

Sunday, July 13th: Oak Forest "Battle of the Burbs" 10U

Frankfort Square Diamond Dogs 2
Channahon won this one in four innings with 13 runs on 14 hits. Jeremy Kenyon, Blake Parzych (double, homerun), Danny Devine and Nico White all went 2-2 with Jon McAsey, Joe Butler, Eddie Sandal, Patrick Rumsey, Tyler Fitzgerald and Ryan Johnson also had a hit each. Channahon pitchers Jeremy Kenyon and Eddie Sandal allowed 2 runs on 1 hit, walked 7 while striking out 4 in the win. Pitchers for Frankfort Square were Casey, Hart and Gallagher and thier lone hit was by Bartee.

Semi-Final Game: Channahon 14, Tinley Park Bobcats 0
Channahon pounded out 14 runs on 14 hits and their pitchers only allowed one hit to end this one early 14-0. Joe Butler (double), Eddie Sandal, Tyler Fitzgerald and Larry Roberts (triple) all went 2-2, also adding hits were Jon McAsey, Danny Devine, Ptrick Rumsey, Nico White and Ryan Johnson. Channahon pitchers of Larry Roberts (3) and Joe Butler (1) allowed 1 hit, struck out 11 and walked only 3 batters in the win. Pitchers for Tinley Park were Kavanaugh and Barlas and the lone hitter was Jon B.

Saturday, July 12th: Oak Forest "Battle of the Burbs" 10U
Channahon 15, Richton Park 3
Channahon batters pounded out 16 hits and their pitchers threw a no hitter in their 4 inning decision. Channahon players with a multi-hit game were Jon McAsey, Joe Butler(2 doubles), Eddie Sandal (triple), Danny Devine (triple) and Patrick Rumsey (triple, homerun). Jeremy Kenyon, Blake Parzych, Zach Akers, Tyler Fitzgerald, Nico White and Ryan Johnson also had hits. Channahon pitchers of Zach Akers and Tyler Fitzgerald combined for the win and had 3 strikeouts, allowed 5 walks and no hits. Pitchers for Richton Park were Taylor and Simenthal.

Thursday, July 10th: Oak Forest "Battle of the Burbs" 10U

Oak Forest Blue Devils 1
Channahon won a squeaker with some good pitching from Larry Roberts and Joe Butler. They combined for a 2 hitter, had 9 strike-outs and allowed 3 walks in the win. Channahon hitters had a tough time with Oak Forests pithing staff who only allowed six hits themselves. Hitters for Channahon were Jeremy Kenyon, Blake Parzych, Joe Butler, Danny Devine, Jon McAsey and Ryan Johnson. The two hitters for Oak Forest were Hofer and Jager. On the mound for Oak Forest were Barry, Walsh and Praski.

Wednesday, July 9th: Oak Forest "Battle of the Burbs" 10U
Channahon 6, Frankfort Square Diamond Dogs 0
Channahon pitchers of Jeremy Kenyon, Eddie Sandal and Larry Roberts shut down Frankfort Square and only allowed 1 hit, struck out 10 and walked 2 in the win. Eddie Sandal led channahon's offense with 2 hits (single, triple), Jeremy Kenyon, Blake Parzych (double), Joe Butler and Larry Roberts also had hits for Channahon. Pitchers for Frankfort Square were Butler, Beaman, Patten and Hart.

Saturday, July 4th: Channahon 4th of July Tournament Consolation Game
Channahon 3,
Crest Hill 1
This was a defensive dual between two good teams, both with great pitching. Channahon Pitchers of Larry Roberts and Jeremy Kenyon came out on top allowing only 1 run on 6 hits, walking 3 and striking out 3. Crest Hill pitchers of Edwards and Taller allowed 3 runs on 9 hits, struckout 2 and walked 2. Channahon's offense was led by Tyler Fitzgerald with 2 hits followed by Jeremy Kenyon, Blake Parzych, Joe Butler, Zach Akers, Jon McAsey, Ryan Johnson and Nico White each having one. Crest Hill hitters were Chmielewski, Taller, Vella, Edwards, Male and Nunn.

Saturday, July 4th: Channahon 4th of July Tournament
Channahon 15,
Minooka 3
Channahon pounded out 17 hits and only allowed 4 against them in the 15-3 win. Eddie Sandal led the way with a 3-3 day, Tyler Fitzgerald, Joe Butler, Zach Akers, Jon McAsey and Ryan Johnson all had a multi-hit game also. Danny Devine, Blake Parzych, Larry Roberts and Nico White also had hits for Channahon. Hitters for Minooka were DiBiase, Pullara, Brozovich and Turnell. Channahon Pitchers of Zach Akers and Tyler Fitzgerald allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, struckout 2 and walked none. Van Asdlen, Pullara and Marco pitched for Minooka.

Friday, July 4th: Channahon 4th of July Tournament
Channahon 10,
Crest Hill 6
This was a well played game with some key hits and defensive plays by both teams. Channahon's pitchers of Larry Roberts, Jeremy Kenyon and Jon Butler allowed 6 runs on 6 hits, walked 7 and struckout 8 for the win. Cresthill pitchers of Giaudrone, Lesure and Taller allowed 10 runs on 10 hits, walked 3 and struckout 8. Tyler Fitzgerald, Eddie Sandal and Jeremy Kenyon led the way for Channahon with two hits each, with Blake Parzych, Zach Akers, Jon McAsey and Ryan Johnson adding one each. Hitters for Crest Hill were Taller, Chmielewski, Vella, Edwards and Nunn.

Thursday, July 3rd: Channahon 4th of July Tournament
Channahon 5, Whiteford 8
Whiteford pitchers of Solebo, Purcell and Pirc did an excellent job in holding Channahon's bats to 5 runs on 11 hits. Channahon hit leaders were Eddie Sandal 2-2 w/triple, Danny Devine 2-2 w/double, Jeremy Kenyon 2-3. Also with hits were Tyler Fitzgerald, Blake Parzych, Zach Akers, Jon McAsey and Nico White. Channahon pitchers and defense had a difficult time allowing 8 runs on 7 hits, struckout 10, walked 12 and had 4 team errors. To Channahon's credit they never gave up in this game even though nothing seemed to go right. Whiteford hitters were Tesh, Purcell, Bunetta, Boykin, Solebo and Brechtel.

Tuesday, July 1st: Channahon 4th of July Tournament

Troy 0
Channahon came out swinging in their first Tournament game pounding out 19 runs. Leading the way were Tyler Fitzgerald 2-2 w/2RBI, Larry Roberts 2-2 w/2RBI, Eddie Sandal 2-3 w/double,triple,2RBI, Joe Butler 2-3 w/double 3RBI. Also having hits were Blake Parzych-1RBI, Danny Devine-2RBI, Zach Akers-1RBI, Ryan Johnson-2RBI, Nico White-double 1RBI and Patrick Rumsey. Hitters for Troy were Malinoski, Drake and Padilla. The pitchers for Channahon of Larry Roberts, Eddie Sandal and Jeremy Kenyon allowed 0 runs on 3 hits, with 6 strikeouts and 1 walk. Pitchers for Troy were Drake, Guzman and Padilla.
